Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty
Also known as U Triple P (UPPP), in this surgery we remove some of the soft tissue on the back of the throat. Such tissue includes all or part of the uvula and parts of the soft palate and the throat tissue behind it.
This procedure is one of the effective means of managing and improving sleep apnea by opening the airway and decreasing the amount of the soft tissue blocking the airway.
